With the term biomass we can characterize any product, by-product or residue of organic matter. Biomass includes stored energy which, after appropriate processing, can be turned into solid organic fuel that can generate thermal or electric energy. There are numerous biomass run power stations around the world but in Greece this idea is still in its early stages.
There are two distinct types of biomass: Biomass produced from dedicated plant crops and secondly, biomass produced from vegetal by-products and residue, as well as animal waste and litter.
A biomass power station project can be established by practically anyone who desires to invest in energy production from a green source and benefit from a potentially high income. Not only can we produce electricity, but we can also utilize the thermal energy generated by the process to heat facilities such as greenhouses, stables, small businesses etc.
Our engineers are always at our clients’ disposal to present them with detailed technical aspects of such a project, as well as its potential financial benefits. We can undertake any project from designing to licensing.
